Euro-Tapis 2026: A Year in Review

03 July 2026

Five decades of partnership — and a year of forward momentum

As 2026 draws to a close, Euro-Tapis reflects on a year of commercial growth, collection development, and strengthened relationships with B2B partners across Belgium, the United States, and worldwide. From our headquarters in Beveren-Leie, three generations of the same family continue a wholesale tradition that began in 1970 — supplying premium rugs, mats, and home textiles to retail buyers, interior designers, and hospitality procurement teams.

Here are the highlights that defined our year.

Trade show presence and industry engagement

Euro-Tapis maintained an active presence at the industry's most important B2B events. Heimtextil in Frankfurt set the tone for the year — with strong buyer interest in washable constructions, sustainability documentation, and custom development programmes. NY Market Week brought concentrated buyer activity to our New York showroom, confirming sustained North American demand for Belgian-managed wholesale supply.

These events reinforced what our daily client conversations already confirmed: B2B buyers want suppliers who combine construction depth, quality consistency, and genuine partnership — not just catalogue access.

Collection development across constructions

2026 saw meaningful expansion across Euro-Tapis product categories:

  • Washable rugs — validated new constructions across price points, responding to the fastest-growing segment in floor coverings
  • Outdoor-suitable printed rugs — UV-stable options for garden centres and home improvement retail
  • Tufted hospitality specifications — constructions balancing comfort and durability for hotel and restaurant environments
  • Custom and private label programmes — increased share of total business as retail partners prioritise exclusive product

Our woven, tufted, and printed core ranges received seasonal colour and pattern updates aligned with 2026 commercial colour direction.

Showroom developments

Both Euro-Tapis showrooms served B2B buyers throughout the year. Our Beveren-Leie showroom in Belgium welcomed European retail buyers, interior designers, and international visitors evaluating collections under showroom conditions. Our New York showroom supported American buyers with local sample access — reducing the friction of transatlantic sourcing decisions.

Serving partners across markets

Euro-Tapis B2B clients span diverse segments — national retail chains, independent home décor stores, e-commerce platforms, hospitality groups, and interior design firms. What unites them is the need for a supplier who delivers consistent quality, supports collection development, and maintains reliable logistics through seasonal peaks and supply chain challenges.

Our production oversight across Turkey, China, Vietnam, and Thailand — under Belgian quality standards — continued to provide the consistency our partners depend on for reorder programmes and multi-season collection planning.

Looking ahead to 2027

Euro-Tapis enters 2027 with clear priorities: continued washable and outdoor category development, expanded custom programme capacity, deeper sustainability documentation for retail partners, and sustained investment in showroom experience for B2B buyers in Belgium and the United States.

We are grateful to every retail partner, designer, and procurement team who trusted Euro-Tapis with their floor covering programmes in 2026.
